How sad that at stage 1 she has had no treatment. My FATHER was a stage 3, and he has lasted neraly 14 years so far! Less than 5 years for her.
Honestly speaking it is very hard to state actual survival in individual case.
Every patient and disease perform differently geologically.
In this case ca. is in early stage and to take therapy is highly advisable cause not many cases get detected in stage 1.
Prognosis is excellent if therapy is followed.
No doctor can ever predict the future – especially with cancers
- though we are questioned to do this every day.
If she is ancient ( how ancient ?), she may die of natural causes
before the breast cancer progresses to affect her health.
I do not see why she would refuse a simple lumpectomy,
but possibly she is very ancient.
We have so small medical information here.
Her doctor has all of her medical history and has examined her.
That is the person to question.
